Short, practical guides for the questions that come up between booking a flight to Thailand and walking out of the arrivals hall online.
A tourist SIM from AIS, dtac or TrueMove H gives you a Thai number after a passport check at the counter. A travel eSIM gives you data only, set up at home before you fly.
Match your trip length and the way you use your phone to the right Thailand eSIM plan, from 1 GB for a stopover to 100 GB for a long stay.
Install the travel eSIM at home, leave it idle until landing, then switch on one line and its data roaming. Steps for iPhone and Android, plus the arrival day.
Staying for a season? Here is how 90-day and 180-day eSIM plans compare with buying a new 30-day plan every month, with the arithmetic shown.
Landed in Bangkok and the travel line shows no service? Work through the fixes in the right order, from data roaming to carrier lock, before you touch the eSIM profile.
